Where did the summer go???

I had a lot of plans this summer for the girls and I. I think we did a lot of things...but I know that we didn't get to all of them.

Our summer was cut short by work obligations, which was ok because I was able to get it over with. I knew it was coming, just didn't know when. Everything went well and I am one happy worker! The stress gave super human powers and I was able to work my tush off and have energy to spare (wish I could have more than just two weeks of those powers)!

The pregnancy is well...who knows. We had a big scare at the end of July and after one hellaciously painful test and two weeks of not breathing, things are ok. We have decided if we could just have a healthy, normal baby, the gender doesn't matter. The kids talked me into setting up the crib last week and cleaning out the babies room. We are way a head of the game, but it's all good. They are so excited. I will be 28 weeks on Wednesday. The funny thing about all of this? I have no clue what to do with a baby. Yeah, this is my 4th child. I just forgot it all. My sister-in-laws that both had their first babies within the last year were brushing me up. I felt more prepared with my 1st child and we were in the middle of building our house. I hope we don't screw this up...

Ainsley started preschool today. I have to say we are incredibly lucky. There is not a preschool here any more. Fortunately the person that used to do it is going to let Ainsley come two days a week. Our daughters are the same age and play great together. I think that it will help Ainsley tremendously! Plus it will give her some more play time. She is getting older and loves to be with her friends as much as her big sisters! She has about three friends and that is her focus for the moment. She also started gymnastics a couple of weeks ago. She is hilarious. She is full of information and knows more than the everyone about everything. She makes us laugh!

Alysen and Ashley are back into school, gymnastics, and soccer. They are loving soccer and the extra long hours at gymnastics. Sometimes it puts us home really late and they have a hard time with the lack of sleep, but they are troopers! They are both doing well in school. Alysen is proud of the fact she gets all of her work done during school and doesn't have homework. We need to do better with reading and chores, but I am a little lax right now. Hopefully once the baby gets here, I will care more.

Will is busy cutting wood, working, and taking care of the sheep. I can't wait for sprinklers to be done with! He is a home body, but will have fewer excuses once they are over with. He lost his cell phone on the mountain and is taking the girls to go look for it one of these first nights. This should be fun...

I have big plans for next year. That's right, I have written the rest of this year off. It will be a miracle if we can get through the holidays, let alone accomplish much.
